PENGASSAN President, Comrade Ndukaku Michael Ohaeri urges Staff of the Association to be diligent

The President of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Comrade Ndukaku Ohaeri on Wednesday 12th of August, 2020 at the National Secretariat, Lagos urged the Association’s staff to be diligent in carrying out their assigned responsibilities.

Comrade Ndukaku who spoke during a valedictory interaction with the staff said that the advice became necessary, especially during this period of the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected businesses and jobs globally. He, therefore, tasked the staff to work as professionals so as to add value to the system and be prepared to face the aftermath of the pandemic.

He informed them that within his short period in office he has been able to lay down structures for the Association and the incoming officers to work with, especially in the area of Management policies and investments like the construction of the Port Harcourt E-library and Event Resource Centre which will be used to immortalize the late President of PENGASSAN, Comrade Francis Olabode Johnson (FOJ). The edifice he disclosed will be an added source of revenue for the Association.

The General Secretary, Comrade Lumumba Okugbawa appreciated the President for his sincerity, financial prudence, and humane disposition to issues that have impacted positively to the fortune of the Association. He also thanked all staff for the positive roles displayed at the last Zonal Delegates Conference held across the four zones of the Association and urged them to replicate the same at the forthcoming 6th Triennial National Delegates Conference.

Staff who spoke at the meeting thanked the Management for the regular payment of their earnings during this period of a global pandemic. Present at the meeting were other Management personnel, the Deputy General Secretary (DGS) Industrial Relations, Comrade Ngozi Okagbue, and Deputy General Secretary (DGS) Finance and Administration, Comrade Ben Nwangwu.
