The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), has elected Ndukaku Michael Ohaeri, at its President.
Before the election, Ohaeri was the association’s National Industrial Relations Officer (NIRO).
He is expected to complete the tenure of the association’s late President, Francis Olabode Johnson, who died on May 31, 2018 after a brief illness, expiring in June 2020.
Ohaeri defeated Frank Asunobi, the acting president and deputy president in an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the association held in Lagos.
Also elected is Kingsley Ajoku as NIRO, while the position of NationalAuditor 2 went to Kiri Barile.
Highlights of the meeting was the confirmation of the setting up of a trust fund for late Johnson, and the expected agreed contributions from members and other stakeholders for the FOJ Memorial Fund.
