The NEC-in-session discussed the mirage of issues and challenges confronting our members, the Nation, and the work environment. It accorded members the opportunity to strategize as well as proffer solutions on how best to tackle them in the overall interest of the country and the over 200 million inhabitants who have been subjected to various challenges including that of rising poverty among the masses. The NEC-in-session frowns at the persistent shortages of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the country, however, expresses willingness to collaborate with the Federal Government and assist in all ways possible to overcome the country’s present challenges.
NEC also urges the Government to sustain the current effort in restoring the vandalized pipeline and increasing the nation's crude oil production, while the Investigative Panel must carry out a thorough work that will end all forms of criminality in the sector.
At the end of the session, a communique was issued and published in the National dailies.
